OASIS stands for Optimum Aquatic System Improvement Structure. If you want better fishing and aquatic habitat, look no further than OASIS structures.
The matrix material used in OASIS aquatic habitat structures was developed to provide habitat AND jump start the food web. Each OASIS structure provides over 80 cubic feet of surface area to promote the growth of tiny phytoplankton and zooplankton (collectively referred to as periphyton). The presence of periphyton attracts minnows and other small fish, which in turn attracts game fish and improves fishing. OASIS structures substantially boost the food web of a lake or pond.
OASIS aquatic habitat structures were developed to provide the perfect trifecta of food, shelter, and cover. Providing all three things in one area makes fish healthier as they have less stress and conserve more energy. Our structures were designed to provide high-quality habitat for the entire food web. Each structure provides nooks and crannies for tiny aquatic creatures, dense interior and overhead cover for small fish. Larger fish benefit from the structure's loafing and ambush cover. Fish can even swim underneath OASIS structures, offering a different habitat component than other habitat structures on the market. The result? A structure that attracts and concentrates fish for better fishing!
OASIS structures also concentrate fish, making them easier to catch. This makes these structures perfect for recreational lakes which lack habitat, such as sandpit lakes or old lakes that need "refreshing". Newly-constructed ponds and areas underneath docks see very quick improvements in fishing with the addition of OASIS structures.
Install one structure by itself or build a complex aquatic habitat structure by attaching multiple structures together. Fish use different water depths during different seasons. Although each structure is manufactured in the same way, each one is unique in the water as the user determines the exact pattern of the branches and complexity of combined structures.
Made from recyclable environmentally-friendly plastic, OASIS aquatic habitat structures are permanent and will not decompose or break down in water. Unweighted structures are only 2 pounds, making them a breeze to work with. Installation is as easy as zip-tying weight onto one the rings, arranging the "branches", and dropping the structure into the water. Tall and large structures are easily created by zip-tying several OASIS structures together. Our installation page offers many suggestions and ideas for deploying OASIS structures.
